“NEWS RELEASE”

Automation Correct LLC (Syracuse, NY) and LMF Manufacturing (Woolrich, PA.) have developed important control technology for application to hot air furnaces manufactured by LMF as well as similar designs by LDJ, RJM, J&H and others.

The Coal-trol Digital ™ (some are calling it the “Corn-trol”) is the first truly variable and proportioning control for corn furnaces of this type. Originally developed for Anthracite coal appliances, the Coal-trol Digital ™ works like a car’s cruise control to regulate the fuel and air to the correct amount required to maintain set point temperature.

Typical performance is within +/- 1 Deg.F, night or day. Because fuel and air are continuously variable, low fire of 15% or lower is maintained with proper combustion.  The lower minimum heat output allows use of the corn furnace earlier and later in heating season.  Proper combustion at low firing rates means that smoke and chimney problems are reduced.

Although fuel savings have not be measured when the Coal-trol Digital ™ is used with corn, minimum fuel savings of 11% have been enjoyed by Coal-trol Digital ™ users of Anthracite coal.

The Coal-trol Digital ™ is available now on new LMF furnaces and as part of an upgrade package provided by LMF.  The Coal-trol Digital ™ is manufactured by Automation Correct LLC of Syracuse, New York.
